Got owned by my End links

Ok, so I attempted to put on some new end links yesterday, but my old endlinks do not want to come off!!!! I first tried the old hand tools approach, but after about 2 minutes of spinning the bolt with out it moving I gave up, and grabbed the old saw.... well That didn't work too well.... after the end link came off, the bolts still stayed in tack and they still don't seem to want to come off.... has this happened to any one? How did you get the bolts off? all it seems to want to do is spin.... and I'm not getting any where.... Thanks for the help in advance to any one who can.

I think when we replaced Photos, we had to put a grip-lock on the back bolt, and then use an impact wrench. That was the ONLY way it worked, and even then it still took forever.

Yeah, it was decidedly not fun. I just pray I don't have to replace mine any time soon.

I used locking pliars or whatever there called to keep the bolt from spinning. I didnt use power tools but you just have to keep working it back and forth along with some pb and some heat. They really are a pain in the ass to do.
Where exactly did you try and cut them off at?

I ended up cutting mine off with a die grinder when I did mine a few years ago. The stock style commonly corrode into place and need to be cut out.

Air Tools FTW!

When I first did mine we fought for hours trying to use vice grips on that lubed up ball/socket. It sux major ass. I ended up using my reciprocating saw and cut the fuckers off. =) Take a screwdriver and hammer and punch them out after that.

NOW....PB blaster and Airtools. Put a set on in an hour last month.

hmmm. seems like I'm the only one that didnt have any issues changing my endlinks. It was well over a year ago when I did mine, so I dont remember it real well, but I seem to remember there being some sort of square nut that I put a wrench on that stopped the bolt from spinning. It only took me like 30 minutes to change the pair of them. If I get to it today, I'll pull out my old links and take a look.

What year car do you have?

I've replaced them on 04, 05, and 06 rl/balts and its the same setup on all of them. The older the car the more fun you have without airtools becuase of the rust/corrosion.
