When i took my air box out i had to take off a ground wire in that area i think it bolts close to the ABS distrubution block, well i forgot to bolt it back on when i was done and i has simular results, idk if you took that off or not but you might want to check that.

I did take that off but I know for sure I put it back on. I thought that could still be the problem so I took it back off, scuffed up the metal alittle and put it back on and made sure I didnt have it shorting out on anything and still no luck. My luck the car will just start when they go to fix it and they wont do anything to it and then when I get it home it wont start again. Yes, I have that luck and its happened many times!

I had the car towed to Saturn for the non starting problem and I wanted them to look at the clutch cause it felt like it was getting harder and harder to push in and the catch point seemed like it was getting higher on the pedal throw. They called me yesterday saying that the connection underneath the fuse box had come off and thats why the car wouldnt start. Then they said that the clutch problem is because it looks like someone put a different chemical in the brake resevoir because there was stuff floating in it and that it wasnt going to be covered under warranty. I told them I have never had the resevoir open and whatever is in there has been there since the car was new. Still said it wasnt covered. I called corporate and they are doing an investigation and said they would call me today. I think its bull shit that the first time I take the car in for warranty work they are saying its not covered because it looks like foreign fluid. I asked them to do an analysis of the liquid and they said they didnt have the means to do that. How can they prove that I put "foreign" liquid in there if they cant analyze it. I can guarantee they are going to fix it cause they dont have much to stand on. Ill fight this all the way. I think whats floating around is probably an deteriorating seal from the slave cylinder. Car stops fine!!

I win!

Ive read about several standard transmission 2.2 Saturn Vues (they use a similar brake/clutch system with the common reservoir ) that have had hydraulic clutch problems on the Saturnforum. Of course its with the factory fluid fill as well since brake fluid is rarely ever added to a newer vehicle .....thus your dealers being a looser!

Thats exactly my point. The car only has 21k on it so why the hell would I be inside the brake system already? Especially when they can see that the car is bone stock. I just think they know what the problem is and its a bitch to fix so they dont want too. Expecting my corporate call around 5 tonight.

Congrats on the fuse box call. I didnt know how to get to the bottom of the fuse box so Ill admit I didnt check it!

Told ya! But at least it's under warranty so you don't have to pay for it.

As far as I remember, those symptoms mean air got in your lines, but it doesn't sound like they're going to do anything about it anyhow.

Its got nothing to do with air being in the line, theyre saying theres something else in the brake resevoir besides brake fluid. I called corporate and they escalated the issue and some guy is flying out to investigate and look at the car on Monday. I can guarantee they will fix it or theyll have a couple news stations in their drive way asking them why they dont wanna fix a warranty item. Ive never opened that cap until 3 days before they took the car so Im 100 percent sure there is nothing else in there or whatever it is has been in there since we bought the car new. I think the slave cylinder is deteriorating and thats why there is a clutch problem and no problem with the brakes.

If the slave cylinder was going out, I believe you'd hear a high-pitched whine when you hold the clutch in.
