belt issues?!

Ok my car runs fine is still make full boost im on stock pulley and belt but if im in say 3rd gear just cruising and i stomp the accelerator the car like revs up to like redline then comes back down and then proceeds to accelerate normally.
I htink my belt is just getting worn and need a new one.
Is there a temporary fix i need to drive 200 miles today and dont want to get shitfucked on my way home from school on the turn pike.

Sounds clutch related to me.

yeah that def sounds like a clutch issue. A worn belt would decrease boost, not keep the power from getting to the wheels.

it may not be the clutch... but matbe the pressure plate is gone... either way, its not the belt.

Does your car smell like something is burning after the said exceleration atempt? If so its your clutch or presure plate like stated. If not then your guess is as good as mine.

well i have no smells after acceleration. I just did a 1/4 pass on the interceptor and from a dead stop thru 4th gear felt fine if didnt notice the problem.
from when i hit started to the stop it ran 15.xxx shifting at 6k like i said didnt notice the problem but cruising at like 40 then hitting the gas it happens.
No stinky clutch smells i hope i dont need a clutch, but i guess it is all possible how long do the stock clutchs usually last, my car has 56xxx on it right now and i bought it with 50xxx on the clock problem only started happening with in the last 1000 or so miles.

The only cheap clutch I can think of is the base Exedy one. It's like $300. PN GMK1016
