So since Daughtery Backwards revived this thread I was just curious, after the wires are swapped, what is everyone noticing different about their cars as far as driveability traits? I noticed a change in MPG (for the worse of about 2 mpg) and a very slight improvement on acceleration and less jerkiness. The reason I was curious is that I recently swapped Cole's wires and prior to swapping them he was getting 300+ miles a tank before the Fuel light would come on. If his MPG considerably drops, I may consider swapping the wires back the way they were (incorrect) from the factory........

If you do that, you won't have a functioning intercooler...why on earth would you want to do that?? In the summer time your s/c will need that I/c. Trust me...my s/c got overheated, or w/e you wanna call it ..anyways, I had to take it in the dealer and get a new one...you might not think you need an I/c during the winter, but come summer time..you will.

Then you're gonna be pissed when your car runs like crap when it's hot out... it's not good for the car. It makes the exhaust temps climb, it makes the car run with less power, it makes knock occur, etc, etc, etc...

Spooner you got access to a tech2? If so, its easy to check your pump. I'm sure you already know how though..Anyways, why do you think you need a new one?

I don't have one, I would think the car would complain if it's not on though....

Yea. It would most likely pop your #10 emissions 15 amp fuse if it was bad. Thats what it did to mine...just kept popping that fuse and throwing 2 codes. So I imagine your pump is fine.=)

I wonder if the fuse could be blown? I've done alot of poking and prodding in the fuse box... what codes did it throw?

I threw a P0102 and a P0443. Now the 0102 is a " mass or valume air flow cicruit low input". But..thats just because of the emissions fuse being blown in the first place. Second is a " evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit". Thats from the pump I believe. At any rate, just pop open your fuse box under the hood and check the #10 15 amp fuse. easy to find..there are 2 15 amp fuses right next to each other and its the first one in line. I dunno though..if the fuse was blown I think your coolant light would come on cause your ecu would read a problem. I may be wrong..doesn't hurt to check it out.=)
