List of IRL Problems

Hello Everyone. I am trying to compile a list of known problems with our beloved Redlines. This is for my own personal curiousity. We'll see where it goes from there. Also, after a few days I would like to start a poll to see how many of us have had what problems. Let me know if I have forgotten anything. Keep this as constructive as possible. No thread jacking please.

1) Wheel Hop
2) Rear Deck Lid/ Bumper scratches
3) Shifter knob coming loose, or falling off
4) Clutch related problems
5) Inter cooler pump wireing
6) Squeeking noises
7) Gouged Rotors
8) Water leaks
9) Window Regulator
10)Melted hoses under hood.
11)"Can of Marbles" noise
12)Hesitation in second gear
13)High RPM slippage

squeaks and rattles , although my wifes vue is a lot worse in this respect....
tranny sounds terririble when coasting i know there is a tsb but unless they are installing me lsd i dont know if im willing to let tham pull apart a brand new tranny yet, as our dealer here all the techs said "that tranny is a pain in the ass ..... as each of them said i aint doin it helll have to.....who me im not touching that tranny let him do it .....and etc.... no one tech there wants to touch the damn tranny anyway.

other than that and a few cel lights everything else has been okay so far but i dont have a lot of miles yet

One of the most noticable squeaks from the rear seat area has recently been addressed in a bulletin.

Squeak/Itch Noise From Rear Seat When Driving on Rough Surfaces (Apply Squeak Reduction Tape to Striker) #04-08-50-013A - (Aug 9, 2005)

A small amount of SRT on the latch striker for the fold-down release mechanism fixes it up.

This is my 1st manual trans. so I thought it was normal but I've noticed it being rather noisy.

My contribution would be my biggest gripe; the loud rattle from the engine bay. Some may call it the "can of marbles" noise. I call it fucking ridiculous for a new car to do this.

There's also the hesitation in second (not the bucking, but an but an actual hesitation).

Edit: Lack of tunability on a "tuner car" might be considered a problem, too.
