2004 Saturn Ion3 Antenna base replacment help needed

My daughter sheared the antenna off at the base. I was not able to extract the rest of the bolt from the base, so now I am replacing the base. I have the antenna base off and am now trying to find where the end of the base harness attaches to the antenna lead. Seems like it is behind the glove box. But I have not been able to find or figure out how to remove the glove box. ( I am not sure I need to replace the glove box but figure that is the next best step. Any suggestions on how to find this connection or my next step?

it doesn't just plug straight into the back of the radio?

Q: What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
A: First, you screw. Then, you bolt.

no, there about 12" of harness beyond the rubber grommet that mounts on the outside frame. Not enough length to get to the back of the radio. seems to be behind the glove box somewhere, but I have no idea how to get to it.

if you pinch the sides of the glovebox, you'll release the tabs and allow it to fold forwards more.
