Code p0455

My car is throwing a p0455. The check engine light only comes on when I first start the car not wail I'm driving. Any ideas on what I should do?

make sure your gas cap is on tight.

Ok, so the next step for a DIY-er is to replace the cap with a new one from a dealer and see if that fixes it. While you're replacing the cap, make sure the top of the filler neck where the cap seats is clean and not rusty.

After that, you're going to have to look for leaks. A shop can smoke test the system for you, which is generally one of the easier ways to check.

o you know what that usually costs? I am having some of the same troubles, except I also have P1174.
