That's worse than having gremlins in there. I thought they were bad for a clutch, but a bad Fez will ruin your day.

Apparently the tech drained the "master cylinder" (I'm guessing hydraulic fluid right?) no change. Then he removed the tranny to get to the clutch and found something to the tune of a tear on the right side of the "pad".

They replaced the whole clutch and the new clutch seems to be somewhat less slippery than the old one. (the feel is less direct as well). I have no idea if it's just because it's new , or they put in a different oem clutch but it feels really different; it's hard to explain but it seems lighter and there is less effort to get it into gear.

Oh well, they fixed it, it works, and it didn't cost me a fucking dime...can't complain.

The clutch disk ripped? Wow, I would have told them to let me see it, just out of curiosity. I don't see how that was consistant with your problem though. Well, maybe if some material was overlapping.

Yeah, it's hydraulic. Uses brake fluid. Unless GM went the extra mile to change that for no reason as well.

Welcome back to the open road.

The brakes and clutch share a master cyl, kinda odd setup...

Tear in the clutch disc? They must mean a crack?

What?! Share the same one? Should be seperate masters. The clutch sort of has a "mini-me" compared to the brakes, no?

Mine doesn't share anything. My brakes are selfish.

You should have looked at Goofy's before it went bye bye, there's two containers, but they're linked together. So, the effect is like one container of fluid. I looked at it a little bit when I was adding some fluid...

Interesting. I'm sure there's a point where it's seperated though, right? Like if your clutch line were to rupture, you won't lose brakes?
