Stuck in gear after sitting over night.

New GMPP cluch and all recommended parts 1,300 miles ago.
(Clutch is holding strong)

Noticed shifter didnt feel right.

1. adjusted linkage, got better.

2. Still rough, put white lithiem grease on the shifter ball, it is much better

3. second time i started the car in the am and it was stuck in second. After I give it a light shove and it pops into neutral it is freed up and moves smoothly.

could the tranny fluid be low? The fluid was drained and changed during the clutch install.

Seems to me like your clutch is not engaging/disengaging properly, maybe from an air bubble in the line...bleed it again would by my first step.

With my current situation, I can get pressure into the system by pumping the clutch pedal multiple times but the pressure bleeds out as the car sits (because there is a leak in the system). If I try to start the car without pumping the pedal, it is difficult to get the car out of 1st and in to neutral. I also have a small accumulation of fluid underneath the trans where the metal gasket mates the trans to the engine. This means there is something going on with the TOB either having a hole in it or not being seated correctly.

The roll pin could be your culprit for the rough shifts but immediately when you said the car was "stuck" in second, it sounded more like the hydraulic system is not right.

I did the gmpp install with all new parts. I think you may be on to something. I pumped the pedel and it got some more pressure. Today after working 9-9 upon startup I noticed the pressue was lower.

Very weird. I was real careful with everything. The elbow is set real nice. I am clueless about whats going on. It is holding decent clutch wise, but I do feel some pressure is leaking somewhere. No fluid loss.

My mechanic suggested it may be the master cyl. What do you think? Should I pull the dist block and re click it?

I replaced my master cylinder last year when I was initially having problems because of the clutch engagement point. There was NO pedal and had to go to the floor for shifts no matter what. I don't think that's your issue but for $60, it's not bad to replace and eliminate as a possibility.

Hopefully that takes care of it. If it does not I may have to crack open the dist block and re click it.

But I see no fluid and I clicked it on properly.
