Does any1 knoe how to adjust a b&m short shifter 5yh gear is too far out

I need to pull up reverse lockout to get in 5ylth gear it was like that before help!!

What worked for me...put car in neutral, release white cable clamp and move shifter just a touch to the left, no more than 1/4" on the cable itself and re-clamp cable. If you went too far, you'll get 5th but not reverse so you have to split the difference.
