Starting Problem

So I decided to take my daughter out for a little cruise and some fun on Saturday. Got the car loaded up, got in, went to start the car and nothing happened. All of the accessories and lights had full power, clutch was to the ground, but it didn't even make an attempt at starting. I checked all the fuses under the hood and inside, pushed on all the relays and connectors that I could get to, went back in and tried to start it and got the same results. This goes on for about 10 min or so and I give up and call my g/f to come get us. As soon as I dial her I shut the door, turn the key again and bam....it starts up happily as if nothing were ever wrong. I was wondering if this is a problem that others have had. It has not done it again since then but I certainly don't want it to become an issue I have to deal with, especially if I'm not at home. Thanks guys.

Might be the cam shaft recall that a lot of us have had. One of the sympotms of this is the starting problem you describe.

My old QC3 and the new RL both had that problem all you have to do is take the key out and try it again until it works, I think its something to do with the security key cylinder lock thing

That would make sense. I think that all of my starting attempts were with the key in the ignition, the last one I pulled it out and reinserted it......I believe, not sure though. If it happens again, I'll try that out. Thanks for the input fellas.
