blew the clutch/trans

I was shifting into 4th sunday afternoon, WOT, and the car made all kinds of racket. pull over and i got trans fluid leaking everywhere, clutch pedal goes to the floor, and the idle is horrible. Trans case was cracked, slave cyl leaking, clutch/pressure plate locked up. I just had it towed to the dealer i used to be a tech at and had stock pieces replaced. this kinda crept up on me or i would have bought the spec 3 clutch lol
anyways, check the pic...
yes, i was recording lol

it was covered under warranty... so yea...
hehe sounds good clown. I could got the old trans back too, gm didnt want it. but with the case being cracked and the damage caused internally it wouldnt be worth the time/effort.
i did get a new extra slave cylinder out of it though lol

Jesus, that must have been fun! Sound kinda like when my transfer case went out on my old 4x4 chevy. Damn thing just imploded on itself! Interesting to look at, but about $1200 bucks to go offroad again!

How many miles were on your cars when the clutch let go like that?

And if it happens will the dealership cover installing an upgraded clutch/trany or did you pay another shop to do it for you?

clown and zville, what were the conditions when yours went? I'm convinced large amounts of wheelhop had a major part in it...
