You want to know about problems.. lets talk about my wifes Mazda tribute.. 22 Miles, SES light comes on.. Some EGR value and sensor shot, I would have to get the repair order to get the exact code and componet but 22 miles. At 77 miles #3 piston collapses better known as a broken connecting rod... Ok, one day for the EGR about 1 week for the new engine. Thats what warranties are for and NO it not qualify for the lemon law.8,000 miles later no problems at all. It is built by people and people fuck up. Oh yea, in most places to go lemaon law, the vehicle would have to be in the shop for the SAME probelm a min of 3 times (California law states reasonable attempts to fix) or out of service for 30 days during the first 18 months from the in service date.

Everytime something happens people start spouting lemon law.. It is not that easy and manufactures fight Lemon Law claims tooth and nail.

Okay, has any person actually looked at all the reported problems with this model on this message board? If you looked you would see that these are not isolated incidents. My car is bone stock; I haven't touched anything. Also does anyone notice that the used redlines showing up on lots and ebay tend to have under 15k miles under them which is unusual for a new car to be traded in with that mileage. My dealer had a 04 with 8k miles on it. Do you really think that these cars are mechanically sound with all of these issues with only the redline but not effecting the quad coupe? Maybe the base model can't handle the output of the RL.

I paid 24k (with tax) for a vehicle. I should not have to tow it back to the dealership every 2500 miles at my expense THAT IS BULLSHIT.

It's not my car that's the lemon, it's the redline in general. If you don't like hearing it, just wait until the problems start and then you'll see.

You paid 24k? They saw you comin. There are many owners that have had few to no problems with theirs and have more miles than you. I've had mine for over a year with no major complaints. I suggest you just get rid of your car and stop posting how bad our car sucks because you made your point and nobody wants their car bashed over and over again.

I have almost 25k miles on mine, and have had to take it to the dealer 1 time for a recall. And thats it.. And Ive got the PSI FI kit on, and a K&N intake.. No problems.. Im not saying I wont have any problems, but at this point in time, Ive put the car through hell. I drive it like its my bitch and it keeps asking for more. But again this is just my experience..

dude i got 22,5xx on mine and ive had little problems everynow and then but hey

THATS WHAT THE FUCKING WARRANTY IS FOR!!!!!!!!!

god damn stop being so thick headed, if you want a fucking car that is not going to have any problems then sell that (which you really got fucked over on price) and get a 1980's honda civic that has everything going for it. do you think that new cars wont have problems? if so prove to me, a car that has more than 30,000 miles that HAS NOT HAD ONE SINGLE TINY PROBLEM. shit, when i bought my car the guy that had it before me claimed it to be a lemon and GM (being stupid) bought it back thinking that it might actually be one, but guess what, it wasnt it was just a couple little things that the guy before be wasnt using their full brain power to comprehend the problem (not saying that that is your problem that your having). if your not happy with the RL quit your bitching and get rid of it and get something that you will be happy with. DAMN.

I cant believe how butt hurt you guys are getting over this. His car sucks shit, so what. Id trash it too if my RL was that fucked up. At least hes not lying to himself about how perfect his car is and how Civics are shit, when we all know that in 5 years that 05 Civic is going to resale for alot more than our 05 cars. And thats the sad truth. To hell with that just keep taking it in and getting it fixed shit. If that cars a lemon then ditch it. Dont just take it up the ass like some people would obviously do. I for one bought my RL for the performance, looks and the fact thats its American, period. I love my car and I know it isnt the the "most" reliable car on the road. Im taking it in tomorrow for the first problem with only 3K on it. Thats cool though, cause I know it isnt perfect, but if its just gets worse then its gone. I dont have time for that shit. Nobody needs to deal with crap like that.

Good luck with the lemon law. I understand how you feel. Make sure that you research your options first, though. In Louisiana the dealer must make 3 attempts to fix the same problem on the car and parts must be installed. If this does not fix the car then its a lemon. Now, 3 unrelated problems will not qualify. Your state may be different though. Just make sure you qualify before you tell them its a lemon. You'll save some headaches, arguments, and time.

I work at a dealer and the redlines myself and 3 of my friends drive as well as 20 or more customers have very few problems. Most problems I see are caused by carbon in the intake. I have seen 0 major problems with any of the car in this area. Relax get the small poblems fixed and enjoy your car.

Looking at the title of the thread it looks like this is your 2nd problem? Wow, judging by all the complaining you are doing you would think that it has been in the shop 20+ times. You will not get your car bought back. In Colorado your car has to be out of comission for 30 days with the same problem to qualify. I have had more then my fair share of problems with my car, but they are different problems so I definitly dont qualify for it to be a lemon.
