fan problems

today and yesterday its been about 10 degrees or 15 degrees outside, There was a lot of sand on the road because of some ice with that said this morning I was on my way to work and when i turned down the radio to get into the gate at work I noticed that there was a constant squeaking. I tried to isolate it by applying pressure to different panels as we all know the redline has some squeaks, but I could not find it. I finally turned off the heat/fan and it went away. It squeaks constantly in the 1 position but after that its fine. doesnt matter if its heat or AC and trapped or flowing. But only in position 1 on the fan switch. I think the actual fan is located under the glovebox in a little black cylinder. Anyone else had this problem or have an idea what it could be caused from. Thanks

That happens to me once in a while... The fix is to put the fan on setting 2.... J/K...

Seriously... I am sure that this has happened to a lot of people here, but does anyone know what to do about it?
