Well, I can switch and risk not having good coverage and decent service like I do now from state farm, or continue taking it in the ars each month....we'll see.

well i was too lazy to read thru this whole thread ... ANYWAYS this is how most major insurance companies work

You pay to get insured, you driving record is clean nromally when you start, but every year thousands need to get renewed, and the company cannot check everyones driving record, this is because it costs money to do it, and the company would go broke. Unless u had a claim, they probably haven't looked at u in awhile and that is why all of a sudden you got screwed. You got the short end of the straw apparently, and now they, by the luck (or bad luck) of the draw you were one of the persons who got checked, and now you are being denied.

Well my insurance is done in March so I will find out. It costed me 1200 bucks last time for the year after my discount, this year if it is the same it should be less due to a better driving record. But man that sucks. Hopefully someone will give you insurance (well, I don't know the laws in usa about insurance, here our insurance is our license plate with a sticker on it, so its easy to check who has it and who doesn't)
This is bullshit. You sticker on your license plate is for plate renewing. not for you insurance, it has nothing to do with insurance, it has everything to do with your plates. whether they are valid or not is what the sticker proves.

HAHAHA, you have no idea how insurance works in the PROVINCE of SASKATCHEWAN do you. If not, don't speak. If the plates arn't renewed, nor is your insurance, one and the same. The companies name for the PLATES and AUTO INSURANCE is called SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance). I was just saying MY situation, not others.

By California law, the insurance company is REQUIRED to verify driver history/record every 12 months. This is to assure that all insured are getting the mandated discounts ( mainly good driver ) that is included in the comapnies registered rates.

I pay $600 a YEAR for full coverage on my RL thru State Farm. I was leaning towards the STI, til my agent told me the insurance would be $2400/year!!! Go REDLINE!!
