strange boost issues

so tonight i'm playing around a little and notice that in second gear i am pulling around 14 psi which i guessed was because of the nice cold weather or whatever, but when i hit third gear and max it out, it only goes to 12-12.5 before you see the needle bouncing a bit from the bypass valve actually opening. the car runs great too.

has anyone seen this issue before? it's like my system isn't limiting boost in second, but is in third. i'm not sure about the other gears cause i didn't want to be driving that fast tonight.

i'm not even sure what would cause this, unless it's just a fault in the pcm

WHEN MINE WAS STOCK IT DID THE SAME THING ITS NORMAL IVE SEEN IT DO THE SAME THING IN 3RD TO 4TH GEAR AS WELL

mine isn't stock though, i got the welfare airbox mod, TOG header, no cat, oompa loompa land resonator, new 2.5" mandrel exhaust going into a flowmaster

it just seems really strange that it only happens in 2nd
