Brake Reservoir

Just wondering if any one else is having an issue with the brake reservoir leaking around the reservoir cap. I saw that Playboy had that issue. Anyone else?

Yeah, I just thought it was over filled... It isn't 'leaking', as there is plenty of fluid, and I don't need to top it off...

Is that what you are talking about, or do you have a real leak

Mine is the same way... I cleaned it off with some 409... and you can see a little more (in the past 2 months)... my guess is that when our brake lines get warm, the brake fluid expands a little and then when we slam on the breaks a litte splashes out... that cap is definatly not air tight....

Oh and yes.... The hard part is going to be getting to cinccy... That could be a show stopper... Flights are over 300... We will see... you know my situation...

yeah, mine seeps a bit too occasionally, I had the dealer check into it, they said these ones on the RedLines tend to do that a bit, something about it needs to burp, belch, or breathe occasionally,
it's by-design, there's no fix for it, just gotta wipe it once in a while.

I might be able to meet you half way. Ill post pics and let you check them out. The dealer replaced the cap once for me and then told me it was designed to breath and to just wipe it of every once and a while.

Yea mine has the same problem I thought it was leaking too but its just a little around the cap. It seems like the cap is vented and that it blows out every so often.

"Sweating" around the brake fluid cap is considered "normal"
Wipe it off if you want when your check your oil
