Electronic Problem

I have had a new nav system and alarm installed. My problem is that when I get in and try to start my car the factory security lock activates and the car won't start. I have to wait over 5 min and retry. It does not always happen but enough to make me mad. Anyone have any suggestions?

It could be the alarm system but most likely is the ignition switch. Known issue on the ION not just the RL....
