I asked about this last time I was at the dealer. The tech said it is an issue with ALL Ions. Not just the redlines. He said his Ion 3 does the same thing as well as every other Ion that comes in. Know flaw in the design. Nothing can or needs to be done. Unless you are not passing your emissions test (for those who have them) then do not worry about it.

We're the same way. We have a programable thermostat that lets the temp drop to 60 at night.

your not always gunna get carbon on the ground if the muffler is black.... my tip and bottom of my muffler are black from carbon but what i found surprisng is where my cat meets the cat-back pipe.. i have a huge carbon deposit their as well.. this is from the pipes expanding and contracting due to heat change and a little will leak out... no big deal it's normal for our cars which seem to completely eat gas.. mabey the new kits will help us lean out the car
