you had the bypass mod done and your reved your engine right after you started it... hold on a sec.. let me go get a pound of C4 for you to put in your engine bay since your basicly doing the same thing now anyway.. let youe engine run for close to a min before you drive it.. atleast at cold start.. plus don't rev you car past 3k if you engine is below the first hash mark in temp..

just some words of adive from a dealership techwho doesn't want to see you going in for warranty work anytime soon

see thats what puzzles me.... how can you head that butterfly open and closing over the exhaust and S/C... it's not very loud the only way it gets loud is if it is going WOT then snapping shut.. but even then it's not that loud

Ditto. If the car was running, I can't see how in the hell you can hear it. I've tried, when I was looking into my 88% throttle settings.

I've had that exact same issue with my car. I was talking to a friend at a local walmart one night letting my car idle for about 20 mins, then he wanted to hear me rev my motor so I did...and when I was pulling out of the parking lot some punk in a z28 pulls up next to me and says,"saturn sucks"! So I replied,"I'll give u bragging rights if you can keep up".well...on take off I sputtered, misfired the whole nine yards... Took it to the saturn dealership and they suggested running a different grade of gas, and they updated my computer. hasn't happened since. I dunno if thats gonna help you any, but thats my story.

20 mins of idle hardly even raises the needle off the 'Cool' line... could be related? Maybe the car is removing some control of the throttle body due to abuse? Just short of limp mode?

the heater core was warm.. so by that i can tell you that the motor was near if not passed opening the themostat.. im assuming 195 degree... and i can hear it cause i have a weapon r on my car..

now i do use 87 octane.. but ive never had an issue.. but i did just buy gas from a different than usual store... dunno its goin in tommorow if it dosent fix ittself..

im thinking it is limp mode.. cause its doin okay.. but it just wont let you overlap on revving.. like if i bump it up to about 3500 and hit it again before it drops to <1000 it wont feed it fuel.. it gets the air.. but if i can bump it up to 3500 let it drop to 1k and bump it again itll raise the rpms.. awkard..

and just to clear myself.. im a tech for a ford delaership.. do alot of SVT work.. i know the do's and dont's.. according to ford and toyota anyways

I failed to mention that mine wasn't idling 20 mins after a cold start. My car was already warmed up and had been running for about an hour. I dunno, these redlines are very tempramental. If one little thing is out of place, she bitches.
