Update on my issues

For those that don't know, see here...

Starting issue, now with video!

I dropped the car off again last wednesday. They called just now and told me that they finally got it to act up on them at start up, even to the point of stalling. They did a fuel injection cleaning, and have talked to GM. They said they are getting several reports around the country on the GM cars running high octane having issues such as mine.

But, they want me to run out the fuel that is in there and run a tank of 87. They say they believe that the high test is sitting too long in the tanks due to the price of gas and it is going bad. Okay...

So, they want me to do that and tell them what happens. They told me to expect spark knock and power loss, bu they want to see if it makes a difference.

Seems to me though, that if it were the fuel, that it would be an issue all the time, not just at start up.

Going to look at Koraxs fix though, see if that may be an issue...

I will be, was in a hurry this morning and wasn't able to really get into it. They are tight as hell though. It didn't look like there was a lot of play, but just to make sure, we are moving the whole bracket that the canister rides on, correct, not just using that ajustment screw...

Thanks, Kirt

Yep. Worked for me.

Though korax, I have a question for you. Why are you having cold start issues when your little profile thing says you lie in Arizona City? How cold does it actually get there?

Nope, no luck... Adjusted it so that there was no pressure on the butterflys lever and it still chokes and stalls. Guess it goes back again.

At least they have started looking at it as a problem now...
