I have had slip a couple oif times and have even addressed it to the dealer at one of my many trips there in the last year. They could not duplicate.

But I have noticed that it is quick to slip if you get backin the gas too quick going into second....

Are you sure it's slipping or might you be getting the engine stumble at approx. 2500 rpms? If it's the clutch, wouldn't you also notice it in 1st, maybe more-so?

Im convinced that our stock clutch is just not very strong mine completely blew up at about 9,000 miles and it took the flywheel with it. I now have the SPEC stagee 2 clutch and flywheel installed and I find it the perfect clutch in my opinion for daily driveabilty/ limited track use!

i have the same issure it's been there since the car was new. Just going into second gear it feels like the clutch is slipping. I think it's something with it not engaging right when the engine is cold....but it only does it in second.

But when at the track the clutch still grabs good so i don't know. Im at 20k miles now.

I'm on 17,000, 2 races, and NON-STOP stop and go traffic every day. Nothing slipping here...

It's not a horsepower limit, it's a torque limit.

I'm honestly thinking it's a driver issue. No offense. I base this on it ONLY being 2nd, where the most aggressive shifting occurs. Are you on the throttle as the clutch pedal is coming up? The same amount of torque is reaching the clutch in any gear. When my SL1 slipped, it slipped in every gear. Giving full throttle in 5th would cause slippage.

Also when clutches go, usually the 4th to 5th is the first time you feel it, then 3-4, 2-3, etc.... put in in 5th at about 60mph and then immediatly WOT it, if it doesn't slip, your good. 5th gear is more about tq not hp due to the engine/wheel rpm multiplier being less then 1 (around .8, i might be wrong)
