How do you people know the code number that's thrown? Do you find out when you take it in to say Autozone to get it read, or does it pop up when the CEL comes on? I haven't had the CEL come on before, so I don't know from experience how the code throwing and reading works. Now that I said that, I'll probably get a CEL tomorrow. *knocks on wood* I haven't done anything to my car that would possibly trigger CELs either; still completely stock except for the boost gauge.

When you go to Autozone and plug the diagnostic tool into your car they show you what the codes are and ask you if you would like them cleared.

Oh well

I thought I remember people get codes thrown when they installed CAI's. I have never really follwed any of those threads so I probably missed something.

Thanks for the advice, AL

Also anyone with an interceptor can read them...

One interesting side note. We (and autozone) can only read PCM codes (all of the engine codes). We cannot read the B series of codes (BCM). The BCM does not use the OBDII bus (it is CAN, or some flavor of that). So if our ABS or Airbag light came on, we could not read the code without a TECH II or a CAN reader (the later of which is rare at this point).

Yea, I use my Interceptor to read and clear them, it's 1/2 the reason I got it.

I could not see any reason to add water wetter to the engine coolant, now the intercooler is another story. The coolant message in the IP message center is for engine coolant only. The level of the coolant should be just above the seam of the engine coolant reservoir. If not add the recommended coolant and that should deal with it. It might be happening because they were filled right to the senor level and now that it is a bit colder, might be showing low.

Should have clarified, I only added it to the intercooler section... not the main. It takes me 20 mins as is, to get the thing warmed up right now!
