strang code

Well I got my first code from the MAF sensor since I installed my Weapon-R back in August. That doesnt bother me too much. It was code 103 BTW.

What kinda caught me of guard was the code 128 I got (P0128 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature ECM). It came on at abot 2 am last night and it was in the teens or something. The heat never let up. The car runs smooth. coolant level looks fine. I took it to Autozone and had it cleared and it hasnt came up in the 10 miles I have drivin so far today.

I will keep an eye on everything. Could a code like this be a random fluke? could the themostat be on the fritz? I have 27000 miles FYI

There is a TSB for that... I can't remember what the resolution was... probably an ECU reflash, seems to be the popular thing to do... I would take it in... They shouldn't give you shit about any of your mods. They are unrelated systems.

I know people commonly have MAF sensor codes thrown with CAI installed

What about code 128.

If the code comes back up I will take it in and have them look at it. Saturn of Clarkston always does me right.

I don't think this has anything to do with your intake. I think it is an ecu issue....

"Service Engine Soon (SES) Lamp Illuminated with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0128 "Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature" Set (Reprogram Powertrain Control Module [PCM])-2005 Models Only #05-06-04-038 - (Jun 2, 2005)"

from

http://www.redlineforums.com/forums/...-recall-s.html

It says 05's but i would guess this is applicable to you too...

I've NEVER seen that MAF code before. Maybe I have, but the two most common intake/pulley CELs are the P171 and the P1182. Lean, and SCIP sensor.

Good catch spooner... I just assumed when he said MAF, CAI, and CEL that it was the 171... And that code isn't even from when you are a dumbass and forget to plug back in the MAF (hehehe, wonder who did that ). It is getting a value from the sensor, just not one in range.

I am going to guess that you haven't had the most recent flash for the 04's. Get that done and let us know if it doesn't feel like a new car....

I had PO128 pop up yesterday while driving, went right to Autozone to get it read. Strange thing is, it didn't happen last winter, why this winter?
