Transmission TSB

Just like to give you guys a heads up on the time it takes to get this TSB done. I dropped it off Thursday December 9th and i still have not gotten it back. I was expecting a 3-4 day stay but this has been such an annoyance, and because im sixteen they arn't going to give me a rent-a-car. Problems that they encountered are as followed: Did not have the necessary equipment to remove the gears out of the transmission and had to send it away to another shop. While putting the transmission back in they, i think, dropped it and the trans case cracked. 'overnighting' the trans case has been a 3-day affair. So just be warned, it may take a big chunk out of your life if your planning on doing the TSB, wait til you go on vacation.

I don't think that dropping the trans and cracking the case is part of the procedure.

dynoing a ricer is like beating off. it seems fun at the time, but theres really no point.

...i know, this is an almost worst case-scenario. Only if the car itself fell off the lift...that would be fun.

My car was in the shop nearly 3 weeks for the rattling fix.

It took them forever to fix it..

Pretty sure this cracked case could be the result of attempting to pull this puppy apart without all of the correct factory tools (Seen it B4)
Depends I guess but sounds like speculation IMO
However, once the case was broke they should have ordered a complete unit
(In fact, I dont think you can even order the case seperately!... what gives??)

at least you get yours fixed. My dealership just deny's there even being a rattling in the tranny AND scratches on the truck. Maybe I should try another dealer? (can I do that?)

What is the TSB number? I've been hearing this rattle since day 1 but my dealer is clueless.
