Rim Cleaner

I am not sure if I am posting in the wrong section or not. Anyway, I was going to put my car up on jackstands and clean the rims but I am wondering what cleaners work the best. I have the Turtle Wax Chrome polish and Rust remover, I used it on two rims last year to see how it would work. Not too bad but it didn't do as well as I expected. Any Idea's of what to use?

Dude..You're gonna be super shocked to hear this..

Get the Mr. Magic wheel cleaner thingies..those're the shit..I cleaned mine with them when they were near jet black from brake dust (just the inner rim/lip) and they came out SUPER clean with exception to the bit of tar..I had to use something more for that, but everything else those took off.

I buy this turtle wax 2000 crap from teh local pop store for 1.99 it works pretty well then I just hand remove the rest of the brake dust with a microfiber cloth and car wash water; comes right off the chrome...the inside is another story. On my painted 16" ers the brake dust comes right off with the turtle wax.

MOTHERS MAG ALUMINUM POLISH. It's a paste; rub it on, let sit for a few minutes and buff off. Makes my rims look chrome. And their being protected at the same time.

or you can simply go to the jewlry dept at wal-mart and buy some jewlers rouge... best stuff you can use, they use it to polish gold and silver. works awsome on raw wheels.... you can even use it on a wheel to buff the wheels after sanding it down where there was an imperfection and itll be just like brand new... and when your done give it to your woman for her jewlery lol....

our wheels ARE NOT CHROME they are polished please be careful do not use anything with any kind of acid in it, like the caustic wheels cleaners, for instance the eagle 1 wheel cleaner is the shit that stuff is simply amazing at what it takes off...........including the paint on your wheels if you leave it on to long......... but it will eat away at the aluminum on ours and poss leave white spots that do not come out without sanding the area down... we do not have any coatings on our wheels. most here seem to think they are chrome they are not chrome!!!!!!!!!!
