I think I am burning oil

Everytime of punch it up to redline in 2nd or 3rd, I start to smell burnt oil. Does anybody else get this?? Or should I take in the redline. I want to be sure everything is good to go when my stage one arrives.

Captain, you want to get that one looked at. Because I hate to speek for the whole group, but there is no smell when you take it up high in any gear. And burning on a new motor is not a good thing.

I am stock except for a k&n intake. I havent gotten any cel's or anything but it kinda smells like oil. Will the cat make bad smells if it gets burnt up?? What else could it be? It smells like oil.. like you spilled a little on a hot engine block, not like oil burnt from bad rings.
