Why Dan no Boost More?!?!?

Ok So i'm running a 2.7" pulley with an intense kit.

I have a MBC inline between the solenoid and the lower nipply of the s/c bypass actuator. I have the thing fully closed

Why am I only seeing 64 in of Hg (16 psi) right before redline...shouldn't I be near 18-19?

Ummm... it can vary.... with my 3.1, in the warmer months, boost was about 14psi... you don't seem to be too far off. What else is done to the car? Did you torque the blower bolts to spec?

Yo, dan--sorry to steer you away real quick, but you don't have MY psi readings, do you?

Might be advantageous to compare (mostly) stock vs. what you have. If I was only running, say, 11 that day (same temp, etc), then you'd be okay.

Then again, we didn't take my car out for a drive

yeah I dont have any boost logs for you since we didnt go anywhere. I know in weather a lil colder than that day I used to pull about 12.1 stock. I have a puley that is like .6" smaller and I only gained 4psi...somethign aint right lol.

I somehow doubt it, but would the tires your on make a dif? If you're just spinning?

I wouldn't think so, but you never know.

And remember how rich you were running, and how much you leaned it out. Might just take some tweaking.

But I'm still blown away by that kit....when I get some free time, after I get my car's issues addressed (this Sat) and hopefully re-flashed, I'm gonna research to see if the Intense kit will work on the '04. Half the cost of the stage kits? Whew...then again, I might also wait to see about warranty issues and the stage kits

But I DO believe Intense's claims of 270 whp / 240 wtq. Your ride's a beast haha.

Good to hear about the belt squeal being addressed. Hope you didn't take offense at my "your car sounds like an 88 Cavalier" remark

Ha on the lil bit of data I have with those runs with you in the car it actually said I started going lean on the end...I dunno If I can find a correct idler I will keep the 2.7 on there and set it back tot he richer setting. If not I'll leave it leaner and go to a 2.9". I have the stock tensioner on there with the 2.7 right now and I'm lucky I made it to work the belt is soooo loose. like the car just jerks and shakes since it sometimes isnt making contact...and I have 50 miles to go to get back to home yippee! I'm probably going to have to send my idler back to doug but I really cant since I need my car to drive everyday...and not like its running today.

It's not 1/2 the price of the stage kit... it's actually more money that stage 1, and $110 less than stage 2... I can get it for about $350-$400 since I have the pulley and such already. However, if you're assuming the stage 1 & 2 flashes are the same, then you're paying almost exactly the same amount. $425 + a pulley.

Thoughts? On your odd idle issue? Not off hand. Maybe Rice Eater can help ya, he just installed it on his, and it's running like a beast he says.
