Funny noise at idle . . .

Went out to start my car this morning as it hasn't run in a good week and a half, figured I'd let it breathe a little bit, and although I'd noticed the sound before, I figured I'd put it out here, see what all of you thought, and whether or not it was a problem.

The issue is, at idle when it's cold the car makes this sort of crackly noise, something akin to a couple of rocks getting jiggled around in a tin can almost. I have no idea what it is, and if I revv the engine up, it quits until it winds back down to idle. It's just kind of freaking me out and I want to know if something's going to explode on me & if I should get it checked. Sounds like it's coming from the engine/gearbox area, if that helps.

I had that problem with my gtp. I thought it was my tensioner pully which was making some of the noise. Come to find out it was from the sc snout.
I had it replaced and the sound was gone.

Mine has done that this day one since it has gotten colder out. The tranny noise is different. This is when the car is at idle, not in gear. The tranny you gotta be in gear to hear.

I hear it as well. Perhaps it could be something that we all have in common. When I say this...like maybe the intake mod or something.
