E-brake feeling loose.

Hey guys, i'm having a slight issue. It's not a big deal just would rather get it fixed or adjusted if I can..

I've been using my E-brake to take turns since i've owned the car to initiate alittle bit of a slide to help me get around a turn.

I've noticed the past 2 weeks, the E-brake feels loose, it still works, but it seems like when I park I have to pull it up higher than usual to stop my car from moving when parked.

I use to do a lot of e-brake work when I had my 240sx and I never had the issue.

Any ideas guys?

On my current car... when the ebrake pulls up more than normal, I have had a stuck rear caliper. It is also possible something is broken in the brake so that the ebrake is not adjusting automatically. I would bring it to someone to check before it gets worse.

yeah the ebrake on our cars isnt designed to take a beating....just to hold the car in place or stop in an emergency.

It's a cable system, and it's not designed to do what you're doing. Trailbraking is much more effective and is the proper way to do what you're doing.
