MAKE SHURE BELT IS IN THE PROPER GROVES ON ALL PULLEYS THE BELT MIGHT NOT BE ON ONE ALL THE WAY IT SHOULD GO ON . IT'S ALWAYS HELPFUL TO HAVE A SECOND SET OF HANDS WHEN DOING THE BELT

That belt can go to hell..

I have to do it by myself all the time. I find it easiest if you start the belt on the back side of the pulley and work it on forward from there.

Like G CHAM said, make sure the belt is on track everywhere too. This helps make it a bit easier.
