Well some of you know that I picked up a Pacesetter Cat-back from a Cobalt guy last week brand new in the box for $120, and I got to putting it on this morning.

I guess we'll start w/ how I rated everything...

5 for cosmetic: It's an exhaust...I mean the tip is pretty cool, but I felt bad giving it a low rating lol.

9 for Audible: This thing is friggin LOUD...at WOT anyway. Through neighborhoods and easing in to the throttle, it's really not bad at all...there is very little drone on the highway around 2400 RPM, giving it VERY light gas...I was pleased with it.

5 for Power: I haven't dyno'd it or anything, but I can definitely feel a difference, for what it's worth. Nothing outstanding, but it's enough to make a difference

2 for Installation Difficulty: I had a lift/cutoff wheel/air tools...so I kinda cheated.

7 for Quality: It seems like a really solid kit, but only time will tell. All neccessary hardware was included and everything which made it quick and easy. If it rusts and falls off next week, I'll let you guys know.

Overall I give it a 9. It's really loud when you want it to be, and not loud when you don't want it to be. It's got kind of a raspy tone towards the really high RPM if it's not warmed up, which is kind of embarrassing since it's a REALLY fucking loud raspy tone. But other than that it's pretty deep and mellow. The power increase was probably minimal, but I could feel it which was nice.

While installing (since it was for a Cobalt) the exhaust hangars on the muffler had two pointing outward while the RL uses one hangar directly above the exhaust. So playing around with the hangars was a mess, eventually I think I'll take it to a shop and have them just cut the old ones off and tack a new one right in the center to keep it in the middle. The pipe was about 2" short (much like the GMPP exhaust), so a small extension for the tip is reccommended as well.

In the end, it may not be the BEST system...but for $200 I definitely think it's worth the money. Or maybe that's just me basing it off of my purchase price of $120 lol...

Anyway, I hope to get a sound clip/video of startup and a drive-by soon.

I love the way it sounds because I have it on my car, and I was there when Dan was installing it. I took a bagillion pictures of the install too.
