Cooling Additive Comparison...Good Reading from Turbo Mag
Here's some reading I came across that might be of help since temps are starting to warm-up and summer time heat is going to start to affect the performance of my rL.

Turbo Magazine did some decent testing on some of the Cooling Additives out there for radiators. Here's just another reason why DEI's radiator relief is the way to go.

quick update - the DEI guys were at the Cleveland IX Centers Horsepower Tour stop and for optimized results it's recommended that you use a 70/30 or 80/20 water/antifreeze mixture for the best results.

According to the reps on site the water wetter product is acutally an alcohol based product and it will intially drop your temps but quickly evaporates due to the alc base. Makes sense - plus DEI Radiator Relief is the only additive that actually has an anti-foam agent that is compatible with anti-corrosion.

The other brands, Water Wetter, Purple Ice, etc. can't do that with the alc base as it breaks down the anti-foam agent.

One thing that I have never been able to get a straight answer on is: Which ones are good to use with GM Dexcool? Some say that water wetter is okay, and others say no!

I've heard horror stories about Dexcool in general but both WW and DEI RR are compatible with glycol based coolants.

Also - thanks to BennyB on car domain for this video file - I'll post his updates as they come.

I'm running pure distilled water and the Purple Ice stuff from Royal Purple in the intercooler. I noticed a drop in temps immediatly. Almost never more than 30 difference sitting in traffic, and it used to be 40+.

I would have gone with what you recommended, I just couldn't find it and I was bored.

is it tru that straight distilled water will cool better than dexcool. cuz my dexcool is always all foamy in the filler neck, plus i live in central FL, so that shit aint gonna freeze... so if it cools better, im just gonna switch to straight distilled water. anybody know?

also, how should i go about draining the system of dexcool? is unclamping the hoses from the pump the only way?

Hope you mean you will still run some additive for pump lubrication.
