What is that, $8000 over list???? I hope that there aren't that many desparate people that would pay over sticker for one of these.

Damn, guess instead of raising the price 1000 last week GM felt it necessary to raise it 5000!

I wonder if you could take that link and report it to corporate. I have talked with every dealership in the Dayton/Cincy area and they all tell me they're not allowed to jack the price up themselves like Pontiac does with the Solstice. They said it was against what Saturn stood for.

I bet the headquarters wouldn't like seeing that they're dealership is getting $5000 above msrp on something like this. It is one thing on used cars...

EDIT: Just noticed this is used with 2281 miles...hmmm...what a freaking rip! I have dealerships around here with new ones for sale.

That's because salespeople will tell you whatever it takes to get the sale. I guess they just wanna get the $ while the gettin' is good, just like the new 'stangs when they 1st came out.

Still...a dealership says their customers aren't waiting more than 3.5 months for one on order.

I'm under the impression that no GM dealers are supposed to do that, period...

Well, it does appear to have every option available, but that still puts the Buy It Now price at quite a bit more than the actual face value.

The scary thing is, people are still trying to buy them at that price. I heard that one dealership bought a used one (for a $1k or so over MSRP) just so they could have a display model on their showroom floor. They put no prices on this car at all, and if anybody asks, they tell them it is $35k! Now, they're only doing this because they really don't WANT to sell it right now, they want a display model. BUT, people are still trying to buy it at that price!!!

Seriously, things are nuts right now with the SKY in some areas. Apparently, the SoCal area is one of the worst, and when some of these people who are buying a SKY could easily afford a BMW/Porsche/etc. then the difference between $25k and $35k makes little difference to them.

Thank God that my dealership is cool and giving us MSRP and Price Protection since we ordered before GMs price changes.

They have to. It was in the letter sent out to all dealers when the prices went up that they must honor the original price.
