My Test Drive... Foiled...

So I get to Saturn to have them replace this seeping plug and check a few things, etc, etc...

There, in the service bay is a brand new black Sky Redline.

OH MAN IS THIS CAR HOT!!!! Little digital boost gauge, clamshell hood, the 'vert top open in like 10 seconds, the fit and finish looked much better than average Saturn.

Then, disaster. He starts it up, revvs it pretty good a few times, sounded NICE.

...and then it ran out of gas right there in the service bay..

You have no idea... they beat the stuffing out of the car he was telling me... Sticker on it was 28,990, and they had slapped on some $2500 car care thingy on that particualar one.

Oh yeah, it ran out of gas when he was starting it to pull it out of the service bay for me.

Were they going to let you test drive it? I know when the Sky's came out for the first time, they weren't letting anyone drive it unless they were buying it...

Whoa whoa whoa...Saturn ISN'T allowed to tack money onto the sticker unless it is used! That is against what Saturn stands for and all 4 dealerships in the Cincinnati/Dayton area told me that.

Stinks it didn't work out for ya to drive it.

Actually every dealership was given a SKY to use strictly for test driving.

uh they didn't tack money onto the sticker, charging for a package, nothing saturn corporate can do about it, same thing as pin stripes 'antirust' etc etc
