So I saw my first SRL yesterday

At the dealer. Sharp as hell, but you knew that. Surprising enough I COULD fit inside after all. I dunno how long I would want to be in it, but it's possible.

Another shocker was the engine bay, real clean and FULL! Makes ours look like a school yard at midnight.

Then I saw something in the middle of the console that blew my mind. It was a stick, but it didn't have 1,2,3,4,5,R. No, this said something that looked like an automatic transmission....there were D's and N's and.....DOES NOT COMPUTE...PLEASE ADVISE!

It made my cry a little. I was gonna test drive it, but I didn't want to taint the experience.

If they had given it the paddle shifting automatic... now that would be cool... the Aura XR has it as an option...

i test drove a manual one. That car makes you feel very confidant, it seemed like i could take a turn at any speed, the clutch felt a bit touchy to me. All in all that sky rl was an awesome car, very well put together and it handled like a dream. My only complain is the lack of space and it felt like everything was in the wrong place.

I was a little worried myself..re: the auto. But I can tell you this..dropped off my 04 Ion Red Line and got into my 07 Sky Red Line. When I pulled onto the street and floored it..it pushed me back like my Ion never did. It's amazing and no turbo lag....word!

By the way, Spooner. I'll be up in Indy the week of the 23rd. Perhaps we could somehow get some Hoosier Red Line Guys for a meet somwhere.
