Today is saw 20psi on a LNF Sky automatic, but the last one about a 4weeks ago was only 16psi on stick. Kinda strange....

WOP: Do you know if there is a good way of putting a BOV in without effecting the fuction of the bypass valve and hurting performance? One owner really wants the sound of a BOV.

Wop, you are a sexy sexy man. No I am not gay, I knew you could pull through with the pics. Definetely not the same piston heads ya see in our port-fuel injected normal SI 2.0 Eco's.

diverter valve > BOV anyday
diverter keeps the turbo spooled a little bit...F@%K BOV's...you dont see German engines with (stock) BOV's...

I agree with you. The bypass setup helps keep that sucker spining... But just trying to make the owner happy. I told him I dont think there is a way to do it without hurting performance. You do get alittle noise stock, very little.... He just wants more look at me noise
Maybe he should get the twin turbo vette that I just got done throwing the motor back in.....2 bov's.....

While I havnt done it personally yet, I see no reason why the factory diverter couldnt me "modified" to stay closed and an after market BOV added somewhere in the intake tract. The electrical solenoid will need to be maintained of course or else = DTCs, but I'm pretty certain it can be done.
Some people might even be willing to sacrifice a bit of performance just to hear that damn whistle. LOL
When I get a chance I'll take the diverter apart and look to see what might be done.

Thanks. Let me know what you find. I was thinking if you cap the bypass/diverter so it cant be pushed open and the put the bov in on the intake side. How do you think it will effct performace? It taking long to spool but with the twin scoll it might not be that bad maybe.....

Where is this, magnet for pussy?

Hey don't blame the SRL owners for wanting to hear their source of power. All us force inducted guys like to listen for it. Look at how much we drool when we hear the supercharger whine. Same thing happens to turbo owners, they love hearing the spooling and blow off-ing. I'm just glad I've got the whine to listen to, it helps me conserve on gas. When I drove around the turbo 2.0 Ecotec, all I wanted to do was keep stepping on the gas to hear the spooling and blowing. I don't seem to have the same constant problem of stepping on and off my throttle just to hear the whine for daily driving like I would if I had a turbo
