Drove a Redline Sky today

Drove an "Automatic" Redline Sky today. Have to say that even though the car was an automatic it was sure fast. I have driven automatic Subaru Legacy GTs before and they feel like dogs off the line. You floor the pedal on the Legacy expecting acceleration and speed and all you get is a slow take off. It was a let down. BUT, with the Redline, it is a different story. You floor that sucker and you will lay down two nice patches of rubber. Floor it at like 20moph and you shoot off like a slingshot. I am very impressed with that engine. There is hardly any turbo lag at all. Very, very nice. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you. If you have a chance to drive one, DO IT!

True that but I would like to see the cost to insure and more importantly maintain a gallardo! I used to see gallardos on the daily in Kuwait. I wish I was paid a couple million a year for being born in a country with oil. The VERY first day I got there I saw a diablo. That is the first and likely ONLY one I will ever see in my life!!

the only part about one I'd be worried about would be parts avaliability..otherwise I wouldn't be scared to use that car as a daily driver. Really exotics are no different than your every day cars, just with higher parts replacement costs.

And insurance is one of those things you have to know where to go to get.
