With gas at $4/gallon and a typical Sky gets approximately 30mpg you would have to drive that car 187,500 miles to get your $25,000 back. And that does not include the added cost to your electric bill to recharge the batteries.

Its a cool idea but still not practical for most people.

Doesn't really say how it charges, but it does say you charge it at home, so I assume you just plug it in. I was just curious about taking longer trips in the car, how would you re-charge after 150 miles on the road...

Extension cord... A big one!!!

Arrow

If it uses 110 to charge you could charge it almost anywhere w/ an extention cord.

That's what I was thinking, but didn't see any info on that, or the rate of charge. It would kinda suck if you had to wait a couple hours to get it fully charged.

I agree with Tibb...not fast enough, but for something to cruise in with the top down to make a statement, not bad.

Can't say if I had $50k it would be one of the first things on my mind but still...

If I wanted a hybrid I'd buy a prius for a lot cheaper as a DD. But the sounds of a quick all electric Sky would be fun...but not the price in the long run. I agree with ebristol
