I have 4 kids and I'm not sure what you mean. Isn't that what the wife's minivan is for? you don't need two cars that can fit all the kids. . . .

Supposing that I might one day have the disposable income required to assume ownership of this exciting vehicle, I believe that I, too, would stuggle with the impracticality of the Red Line Sky. Part of the appeal to me of the Ion was having a sporty vehicle that I could use in all sitiuations(going with 3 friends, weekends trips, camping, moving, transporting harware, etc.). I think that it would be difficult to perform all the aforementioned activities with the Sky, but I imagine that the open top experience makes it all worth it, especially if you have another vehicle.

At least I can bring my son with me! (Although I suppose for optimal performance vs. weight, my wife should just take him and leave me with the Vibe/future minivan or crossover).

SKY Red Line > Boxster S

+1 Alpha actually hit this one on the head..

(Boxster S with an engine swap > SKY Red Line :P )

When I had my older 911 I was still greeted with more respect at PCA events than Boxster owners... Even my 944 turbo gets more respect..

Mallet Sky > Boxter.... hehe...

I think we get the point though... anything with an engine swap better be bad ass, or you're a fool for swapping it...

I'd still take a Boxster with a GT2 engine swap over a Mallet Sky....

I think it would be a driver's race...the newly upgraded and modified boxter's are so much nicer and better than the last ones but the new ones are 0-60 in 5.2 and the SKY RL is 5.5.

Or you could just get a GT2, lol

If it was a 911 or a Sky definatley 911 (I love porsches, a used carrera 4s cabriolet is gonna be my next ride)

but the Sky is sexy as hell and the Redline version is tempting as hell

Screw it...I want to find the new Porsche Cayman...the tiptronic s only goes 0-60 in 5.8, humilate a new owner of it with a Saturn would be awesome...the manual is in 5.1 and I don't think thats too do-able right now.
