Well, I've been blessed with a dealership thats supportive with my modding. I happen to be very good friends with the salesman who sold me my car and I frequently go visit him and the others that work there.

I'll get to the point, today I got approached by the General Manager and he proposes that our locals meet at his dealership. He also mentioned that he'd be willing to cut us a deal on parts, I get them at 10% off retail and sometimes even more than that. He sees this growing into something bigger than just the few cobalt members we get to come out to out to our weekly get togethers. He also mentioned some financial backing and even a car show in the future.

I know that a few local owners voiced a willingness to start a car club and I think this is a great opportunity to do that. Please let me know what you think about this.

dude everyone in the area should do that... that'd kickass, especially if you could get some sponsorship action going

Frank, you know I'm down. I still haven't heard back from Steve at Saturn of VA Beach so I'll try to get a hold of him this weekend. I'll also give the other guys a call. (I'm not sure how often they check the forums.)

You posted this over on the other site right? Just to remind you, I'll be at Blackwater for the next few weeks so I don't know how much I'll be checking in here but keep me up to date with the latest. (I'll still be around for our weekend meets though)

hey doc i was at the Va beach car show this past saturday and talked to a cobalt guy that knows you. see how popular u are. do u ever go to that car show cause it was awesome. does the dealership ur talking about do redlines too?

If you're talking about the show at Jenros off Independance then yes, that's where we all go. (Except last weekend. ) Any chance that you'll be free to go to it again this week? Frank (Doc) has mentioned you before and I'd sure like to meet another RL owner around here.

I normally do, I was in North Carolina this past weekend. I believe they wil do RL's.

I'll try and make it to the show again but it depends on work. I think it was independence blvd(if it's the one with 2 vipers then yes).

We're probably talking about the same show. I'll mostly likely be there this weekend.
