DSLSJA - Pics from our first meet this last weekend (no 56ker's)

First I would like to say thank you to everyone that attended! We had representation from VA, NC, TN, and SC. If everyone is ok with it the group name DSLSJA (Durty South LSJ Association) that was given to by a fellow board member we shall use that going forward? Any objections?

I have another roll of film to drop off tomorrow so I will have more pics tomorrow night. Knowing how many more Balts there are in my area alone and a few more RL's I know our group will just get larger.

There were quite a few humorous stories from our trip to Shady Lanes

The condition of the track was pretty rough. I have never seen that much carnage and breaking at a track before. We watched a Mustang snap it's left rear wheel off the second we got there, another Mustang lost it's steering and veered in to the other lane and all most took out it's competitor, and a Civic snapped it's front end after he decided to take 3 passengers with him. The winner though was another guy with a brand new Toyota Tacoma 4x4. It appeared to be an automatic and instead of Power Braking he decided to gun it and then drop it from Neutral into drive . We heard a SNAP, then the cab was bouncing one way and the bed was bouncing another....poor bastard. It looked like he had hydraulics going down the track

The funniest run that I had was against a new Civic SI. As we are waiting in line (BigD is in the car with me), BigD starts talking to him
BigD "you stock?"
Ricer "No way....all of us Honda's here today have done engine swaps and a ton of mods!"

BigD has a vid clip of how that race went, let's just say when we lined back up he wasn't bragging about his engine swap

His buddy who had an Accord, of course with "a HUGE engine swap", standard issue fartcan, and drag tires lined up with me next.....Here is pics from that race

Just to let you know, that Acura didn't get the jump on me, he false started, that's why he's in front of me... I almost caught his ass too, he ran like a 10.08 and I ran a 9.47, caught up to his back bumper when we crossed the finish...
