Well everyone..I have flown the coop!

Today was a big day for me and ashlee(the gf). We have been kinda searching for an apartment for us. So we can officially start our lives together. I work with a lady who is best friends with a woman who had an apartment for rent above her garage. The house sits on 35 acres of land. It has a air strip for her husbands plane, a hanger, a big pool, pool table, amazing views of the mountains and lake and a massive garage for me to work on the RL. The apartment itself is amazing. You walk and you are in the kitchen/dining room. Nice small kitchen with everything a young couple needs. Walk down a hallway and your in the massive massive bedroom. The bedroom has skylight windows and two big windows overlooking the mountains and the lake. The bedroom will be our living room aswell. Then the closet is about 6 ft wide and 60ft long lol. It is going to be our closet and office haha. It also has a storage room to of course store our junk. We are very excited about this. Ashlee wont be moving in with me officially until summer when college gets out. The apartment is $450 dollars a month and that includes ALL utilities. Even cable internet and access to everything on the property. If i had a 4x4 they have 1 or two trials they said that goes threw the whole property and such for the jeeps they have. Money will be tight. I will have enough to live and pay bills and be comfortable. But, this means the RL will come last now, instead of first. I am really excited about this and just wanted to share with you all. The only downside is that it isnt big enough to have like a big get together. I could you know offer someone the floor and we are going to be putting a futton(sp?) in there as a couch/guest bed. Only weird this is it would be in our bedroom. Odd yes. O well. It is my first place and its perfect. Thanks for reading! I will add pics as I get them!!!

Congratz man. Sounds like a nice place. although you better put a lock on that closest so you can get away. Trust me on it. Either that on ban her from the garage when your working on the RL.

lol she doesnt move in for 4 months and we already live together now so its all good...but she knows the garage is my spot and her spot is her "office"(her desk a nd comp and stuff...) this a big step...but it will work out great

So, when you "flew" it - was it bumpy? I'd imagine there'd be a bit of turbulence...you know, being that it's not the most aerodynamic of shapes and all...





But seriously, congrats...that's a HUGE step in "growing up" - I'll never forget when I "left"...of course, I went through hell driving 1200 miles to get to Denver (NOT recommended for someone JUST moving out on their own, by the way)

Thanks guys for the word of advice. It is a big step and we are really happy. she will be saving 7k a year on her college(room and board fees). Stupid private colleges. It is 10 minutes from her school and 10 from my work. We are excited lol. Once we get it set up, anyone willing to make the trip can come to our apartment warming party!!! lol
