In my Own Opinion as long as you read thr intructions do as they say your good as gold i ussually hook it up though the pvc valve line or a vaccum line
I have not run into any problems with using seafoam and i know a lot of shops around here use it also. But I only use it when i change the oil as a prevenative maint.

"Like thousands of tiny ball bearings" LOL
I would be very careful about what additives/produts you add to the fuel tank directly. ESPECIALLY if you dont pay close attention to the recommended concentrations. For instance if it says to us 1/2 can for a full tank, and you use a full can on a 1/2 tank (hey maybe you're dyslexic- like me) -you can do some pretty serious damage to your fuel pump and injectors. I personally cannot recommend you use ANYTHING that adds to your fuel tank. Seen all sorts of early FP and inj failures due to this.

Professional grade de-coking products are typically perfomed underhood (with the regulator return line plugged if equipped) at a precise concentration/duration.Many "systems" such as the MotorVac system that WE use- need to include a followup neutralizer to prevent injector damage due to the exposure http://www.motorvac.com/products/CarbonCleanMCS245.html

That is from a post by Wop back in july.
