I have been in a few Life or death sittuation and I can feel your pain deeply.... You saw for yourself what most people do in those in someone elses time of need....absolutly nothing, they freeze with fear and dont know how to react. The fact you took immediate action makes you a better person then most, so dont beat yourself about the outcome. If they could thank you for your effort I know they would.

Samething happened to me 5 or 6 months ago. Held a 80+ year old woman in my arms while she died from a t-bone accident. I did cpr on here for like 10 minutes and finally gave up. It took EMS 20 minutes to get there. This happened in broad daylight on a super busy road. Nobody stopped except for this old lady who said she would call 911( i already had). I guess sense me being in the line of work I am. I have become de-sensitised(sp?) to death and dying. But, it was still sad. Sorry you had to go through this man. It really does suck. Did the little girl survive? That honestly would be very hard for me to witness, no matter what.

Perhaps we should all take a lesson from this and get fire extinguishers for our cars. They don't cost that much and might just save the day. I know I'm gonna get one the next time I get a little spare $$$.

No. It appears (according to what Kane told me last night) that the girl might not have been wearing a seatbelt and was smashed under the dash on the floorboard. Seatbelts are a huge pet peeve of mine.

Right she was face down on the seat it looked like her body was all the way under the floorboard. Either she want wearing her seatbelt or was turned in her seat and slid under the belt. It took rescue workers 30 min to cut them out of the car. So i most lilely couldnt have gotten them out anyways. I agree with Raine i told Lauire while we were sitting there watching the rescue guys work that we were getting fire extingshers in all of our cars.
