Okay... I just read the article... "The highway patrol said Marroquin was driving with a suspended license and illegal tags." Hmm... more illegals anyone?

I'm sorry... it is very tragic for anyone to die in an accident... but just maybe the guy didn't belong on the road in the first place.

Yeah I saw that part on the article when I posted their names, but I didn't think it was relevant. There are many reasons for suspension. I nearly had mine suspended if I had driven anyway (as many many people do) it still doesn't make it ok if I were to die in an accident.

Not saying that it's "ok" at all. And not trying to start an argument among us all here... but there were at least 5 people killed last year b/c of people in this area driving with no license. It's a dangerous trend on our roads today. Sad as it is.

Oh no I didn't think you were trying to start an argument. Just don't like it when the media only tell part of things and leave a lot to everyone's imagination without all the facts.
For instance I was just saying the other night that I had my license suspended when I was 20 because someone else tampered with my ID. Though I didn't drive during that 90 days if I had it wouldn't have been relevant to an accident, because the suspension had absolutely nothing to do with my driving ability. If he didn't have the suspension just the expired tags they probably wouldn't have said anything because lots of people let their tags expire and make no difference in driving ability. I just don't think they needed to say that unless they were also going to "report" WHY it was suspended, that's all.
