HP Tuner

Im just wonderin if anyone around the Houston area has HP Tuner...

We're having a little problem with the ZZP PCM and our Speedometer is reading 140 mph when we're only doing 50-60 mph. Just want to see if we can fix it without sending it back to ZZP because this will be the third time it'll have to go back.

Lookin for an easy fix.

Well, thats cool. We're gonna be making a few trips to Austin shortly for stuff, but hey it's all good though. We're just gonna send it back to ZZP yet again and hopefully it'll get fixed.

Before we decided to do the PCM, we called around to get prices. Our friend in the SS S/C told us of a guy that said would do his car. Being our cars have the same engine, we figured they would dyno tune us too. We called and the guy said that he doesn't do cobalts or redlines... ((on his website there is a cobalt that he did but he doesnt do cobalts or redlines....)) yea. okay then later our friend went there and got a crappy tune with his methonal and stuff. and he locked his PCM so when he tried to go to another place to get a retune, they couldn't do it. So he had to go back to that first guy.

We knew a place back where we used to live, that does lightnings and mustangs. Well they got the HP tuner software and did our friend's camero... and when we tried to see if they would do our car, they said they got rid of the software.... *sigh* Maybe they don't like GMs.. or something considering that if word got out that they could tune them, they would make more money, but hey, its not my shop, if they want to just do Fords and what not... fine.

We'll get it eventually.

There's several guys in Louisiana with HPT, but if you don't want to drive to Dallas, then we'd be a bit too far as well..

I'm close to Houma, and I'm buying an HPT setup from a member in Baton Rouge. I think there's a few more, I haven't checked the locator thread... just a possibility.

Also, I've never used it, so I couldn't actually tune the car, but you could at least check it to see what's wrong, and maybe fix the speedo problem.

I think '04 and '05-'07 Redlines used different speed sensors, so they might have accidentally sent you the wrong year ECU/tune for your car. Just something else to check.
