Broken Rear Sway Bar!
Rice Eater help! LOL

OK, so I'm driving around town today and something is rattling like crazy in my trunk. I thought maybe it was just the spare tire was loose or something. So I do some checking while I'm out and I discover, oh, looks like the rear sway bar is loose (I reached under the car and felt that it moved slightly). So, I figure I'll tighten it up when I get home. Well, when I got home, I found that it actually looked like this. What can I do?

2005 ION Redline

I checked their site, guessing since there is nothing about a warranty on it, buy a new one.

Hmm...hope not. Just got this a month ago when Rice was down at AdamAnt's house. We'll see though. I mean, it's not like I was off-roading or anything. The welds just broke.

a quick grind and weld will fix that. Hopefully they use a better welder next time. More heat and they are set.

looks like they rusted out... this better not be a common problem with them... i would hate to see that happen to rice and cynic

Could you imagine if that weld broke on the wrong side and the road kicked that bar up into something???

my rear strut bar has a warranty against workmanship gurranteed never to break. if it does it gets fixed.

Carefull...I REALLY doubt Rice/Cynic will NOT do something about this. They have THE BEST customer service in the RED LINE aftermarket, IMO.

OH im not hammering on anyone im just replying to vandys post about warrantys. in no way am i bashing rice and cynic there some cool cats.
