Anyone in MN had the stage kit reflash done?

The dealers here have heard of it but I haven't found one that has committed to it yet. Anyone of you MN guys gotten one installed yet?

3 weeks ago, Saturn of Moundsview told me they couldn't get the kit but they heard of it. They had talked with some Chevy dealer in Roseville about ordering it since I wanted it on my car before I bought it. Then they said the warantee voiding BS, which I knew was a bunch of BS, so I just called them and said forget the stage kit, as I will get it myself later.

Let me know if you find a decent price around here. I know the Chevy dealer in Wayzata is a GM Performance dealer. Those guys are super cool in their service department as we had some service work done on some GM car a few years back. They even taught my GF how to drive a stick in a Z28 of all cars. Friendly Chev is a GM Performance dealer I believe. I don't remember if Iten Chev is or not but Wayzata is plenty close to home for you.

Actually, can't any GM dealership order the kit & install it? Like a Pontiac dealership??? I'll have to check from my end on the Pontiac dealer getting the kit and doing the flash. That would be super easy for me.

I actually got Moundsview to commit to it. They're only charging me a half hour labor too. Pretty darn reasonable. I'm going to give them the auth # and my VIN and they're going to call and get it before I arrive and then BAM...installed. I'm going to walk them through it. I'll let you know how it goes!

Sweet, too bad they didn't have their crap together 3 weeks ago or I'd have it already. I was planning on just having them install Stage 2 and get it all done before I bought the car

Part of the problem is there isn't any stock of the kits so that makes it hard for them to acquire. I'll walk them through it and then they should feel better about installing at least the reflash.

That's cool. Too bad GM just won't sell an authorization # for the software and we get our own injectors. Gonna check with Arrow Pontiac as that is one of our family dealerships. I get the 'family' discount on GM & Chrysler parts Helps out sometimes. Unfortunately they can't get me complete Saturn cars

Sent you a PM about other things...

Not any kits available in MN...couple dealerships in WI have them. There was a post on here about it. If you don't pursue that you'll probably have to wait until mid-summer to get it going.

I compiled the part numbers, the install sheets, and general information about the stage kits specifically emphasizing on the install instructions for the reflash (the other stuff they should do well enough without my help. I will let them know they should get ready by investing in at least one pulley puller though.) I'm going to print a nice cover letter and fax it along with a copy of the PDF's our friend was so nice to share with us to each of the St. Paul dealerships. If I can find the Minneapolis ones I'll let them have it too...but they're communists. I'll be damned if I'm going to let my states' dealers be ignorant about a product a lot of us are going to be coming to them with in the near future.

That's a great thing to do. Nothing worse than getting turned off by a dealer when they don't know about something. That's why I didn't pursue the Stage Kit further with them since they seemed like they had no clue. Moundsview seemed like nice people, zero pressure sales, no BS on the car purchase even though it came from Saturn of Sioux Falls SD. I surely need the Stage Kit as the factory software is not to friendly. A/F ratio is weird meaning not smooth as the R's go up. Pulsating idle after pulling to a stop. General weird stuff. Be nice to go in and having those guys being up to speed on the flashing rather than looking confused

Ahh Raven. Couldn't make it to the last MNSC meeting but heard you were there. Yea Village Chev. That was what I was thinking but couldn't think of the name. Their service guys were awesome years ago as well as the sales staff. Gonna have to wait until this summer to get the Stage Kit but it will get done just to clean up the weird factory software.
