intence vs hp tuners

i just think its a bad idea..... to get the intencse pcm unless u keep ur old one. i like how intence has been tuned to provode the user plug and play.... but wha about those here with warrenrty? i have a 06 with 5 year 100k. with hp tuners i can just save my old pcm and then have some one with hp tuners and stage 1 to send me a copy of there pcm so i can start from there. im i crazy to think like this? all i need is a wide band......

i just like the idea of full control over the pcm.

sheek calls me nuts for wanting to do it my self... i did it on my motor bike..... with a wide band

It probably won't void your warranty. If you got to INTENSE's website, part of the stuff you have to fill out is your VIN. They will have the PCM read as your VIN # if anyone ever read the PCM from the dealership.

If you plan on doing this with HP Tuners by yourself...plan on spending a lot of time. I was the first one INTENSE tested HP Tuners on and it took 20 pulls on the dyno to get the a/f balanced out, and Scott does this stuff all the time with GTPs. Every model year acts differently. After he became a little more familiar with it for our car, he had to do things differently on the 04 and 05 RLs and with the cobalts as well.

You could always buy the binary code from them for $99 and have that as a good grounds to start with, which requires you to have HP Tuners anyways. Ask them exactly how it works.

Yes, every model year is dif. along with the setup they have on the car. Sense he's running all those mods im pretty sure his will run dif. than a stock model for his year.

Hey Jin, you should email HP Tuners and ask them when they will add the azn mod (on/off) onto their software!

That's what I'm doing bird. HP Tuners is good stuff, and Intense's tunes are looking great right now. My deal is simply the fact that I was to do it myself. If I have trouble, you can bet I'll have them help me tune 60lbs-ers thought...

If you are worried about keeping your 100K mile warranty than the GM Stage kits are your friend.
